Who We Are
CEO: Jason R. Stroh
After studying at the celebrated Ecole Superieure de Cuisine Francaise in Paris, Jason made his way to Provance where he cut his teeth working on the line for the Michelin two-star restaurant, La Bastide St. Antoine. From there, he was handpicked to cook under Executive Chef Edward Gannon at the Boston Four Seasons’ restaurant, Aujourd’hui. It was there in Boston that, while visiting the Cambridge cheese shop Formaggio to implement a proper artisan cheese plate, Jason met Christina, a Boston Ballet dancer and his future wife.
Yearning to interact more with customers while continuing to shape the scope of a gourmet eatery to his vision, Jason decided to open his own establishment, Stroh’s Gourmet, in Christina’s hometown of Venice, California. From the time of its inception, Stroh’s Gourmet has been an epicurean sensation among local and tourist alike, as cherished for its astounding array of delicacies as for Jason’s never-ending quest to make sure each customer gets exactly what, perhaps, he never even knew he wanted. Now entering its 6th year, Stroh’s Gourmet has not only garnered accolades throughout all of Los Angeles’ major publications, it has become a genuine pillar for the community as well, sponsoring multiple neighborhood events, charities, and fund-raisers.
And in Jason’s humble opinion, there is no rating system known to man that can measure the perfection of his sandwiches.
